Horn Restoration Examples
Our favorite thing to do is to take old damaged horns and make them look beautiful and play beautifully again. Many of the horns that we restore require only minor refurbishment and rebuilding before they are concert ready; however, some horns seem as if they should be scrapped, or at the very least they must need to have major parts replaced. Often these parts are not available, or modern equivalents are not of the same quality as the originals. Sometimes we simply feel that the horn deserves to be repaired rather than thrown away. In these cases we take a great deal of time and effort to save the original parts and, as it were, bring the horn back to life.
