Los Angeles Olds Super Cornet
This horn wasn't too bad; it just needed some bends and dents removed. Due to the nature of the lacquer, fine pits were left behind on the horn when the lacquer began to rot with age. Although it would be possible to buff and polish through such pitting and remove it, we never attempt to do any such thing. To remove this surface pitting entirely far too much metal would have to be removed from the horn, which would not be good for the instrument. We want our horns to play as well as they are able, and we do not sacrifice the structural integrity of the horn for the sake of aesthetics.
